Pier Tancredi De-Coll’ (Turin, 1959) took his first steps in the studio of the Turin painter Serafino Geninetti, and made his debut as a cartoonist for the newspapers Stampa Sera (1982-1995) and La Stampa (1984-1995).
In this capacity he was included among the major representatives of graphics
national sportswoman in the HumorCalcio 1993 exhibition.
With the writer Federico Audisio di Somma (Bancarella prize 2002 with the novel The man who cured with flowers) he created the volumes of drawings and poems Il Jazz del torello verde (1984) and Femmes, Donne Elettriche (1986), the latter with a preface by Gianni Versace.
It has countless collaborations with various Turin artists and associations and prestigious awards (among them the first figurative art prize at the 2016 Artes International Exhibition).
The book Pura Pittura (Gli Ori) was written about this artistic journey, edited by Paola Gribaudo with texts by Federico Audisio di Somma (presented at the 2017 Book Fair).
One of his works (Social Distances) is in Paola Gribaudo’s book CondiVIDere which collects for future reference the testimonies of various Turin personalities on the first lockdown..
What today I like to define as COOL DE-COLL’ is an evolved, independent, virtuoso solo style. Canvases appeared, music materialized in acrylic. Year after year, research has arrived at a colder, more relaxed, calculated temperature.
FEDERICO AUDISIO DI SOMMA
Today he has arrived at a unique, personal, as well as eclectically lively language…. A fluid, suspended, atmospheric brushstroke capable of creating perceptive and material suggestions every time, in any case never devoid of poetic tones..
